P/R 556 (piston driven) bolt: Problem Pin will not come out to allow firing pin and spring removal. Pin hole to min spec., vendor retaining pin made to max spec. Pin installed by press and can not be removed by hand. Call SSI, ID prob and they will give you shipping instructions. My bolt was repaired and returned in FIVE DAYS including the day I mailed it!!!!
R522: Bolt buffer spring rod and clip come apart while firing. If the rear end of the spring rod is tapered, you have one that may be prone to failure.
Contact SSI They have a package of upgrade parts to eliminate this problem. They will give you the details on what parts you need to send them to get the kit.
