JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Jackson County Sheriff Lou Roberts and Washington County Sheriff Kevin Crews held a joint press conference Monday to discuss the arrest made after a joint investigation.

With help from the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Jackson County Sheriff's investigators arrested 56-year-old Ben Stuart Granberry of Graceville Sunday night.

"Mr. Granberry has been on our radar for quite some time," Jackson County Sheriff Lou Roberts said. "His career began back in the late 80s and that's when he acquired a felon conviction."

Officials found 30 firearms, drugs, counterfeit money, and approximately $13,000 in cash in Granberry's home.

Washington County investigators arrested 35-year-old Brandon Donald Taylor Sunday night for meth.

"Taylor was already on probation for selling methamphetamine, so as you can see, it's widespread," Washington County Sheriff Kevin Crews said.

Both sheriffs said they rely heavily on each other and the community.

"This is a culmination of those efforts of communicating and working together across our jurisdictional lines, so this is the outcome of it," Sheriff Roberts said.

Granberry is being held in the Jackson County jail on a $515,000 bond. Taylor is being held in the Washington County jail on no bond.

Officials say they're determining whether the guns found in Granberry's home were stolen.

Both Sheriffs Crews and Roberts said more arrests could be coming.
