Nope . . . don't have any SAUMz or RUMz but really need one of them elusive WSM/WSSM's. Still trying to figure what sized hole in the bbl and what action.
Hot loading a 45-70 in a Mauser, falling block,or even a NEF action is about all the recoil "needed" to have "fun". If more is needed you can rechamber to 45-90Express and use the thicker web brass. You can also use the Express brass cut back to 70 from 90. You can really have som "fun" with a Ruger #1 45-70 doin' dat. CAUTION: Do not try this in a #3. It will tear your hand up due to that weirdo lever.
The motivation to get 3000 from a 300 is another sorted saga from my pre old man daze. --- SAWMAN

That's for sure Bob. And only a couple bullets offered. You gotta reload for this one. Then . . . any .429/.430" bullet . . but heavy is mo-bedda.
It is a Hornady 300gr XTP or a 300gr WFNGC (hardcast) for me. Then you have the pistol bullet at rifle velocity thing going on.
    ADDED: FYI . . . a 180gr HP,with it's cavity hollowed out,and a "BB" pushed down in it,will tear a porcupine in half.
The "stand off" distance for this one is about 50ft. --- SAWMAN

Starting load for the Lott is max load for the 458Win Mag. As extended case chamberings go,the Lott puts out quite a bit more power than the Win Mag. They made some bolt guns for the Lott (CZ,etc.) but the action is super long.
