Yea, I would imagine the thought of someone shooting in thier power/gas line might make them nervous.

Over here many of the right of ways are posted no trespassing.

ETA; I don't think the pipeine is posted though and I have seen deer stands on it when flying over.

Maybe they own that land instead of just an easement.
Maybe each division of Southern Company can make their own rules.

Gulf power, we have plots, shooting houses on the edge and roads nearby for at least 15 years. They sometimes drive on the plots but seldom do any damage and never have lost equipment. This year while cutting trees and brush, they safely removed trail cams and solar setups, placing then in or near the shooting house.

I am guessing I could sight in my rifle along one but we don't allow that on the lease. We do kill hogs, deer and yotes in them. I would think a lot of powerlines encroach on or are in hunting leases so you could not use them for your personal needs.

Its sure worth a look. I have seen some rather large deer on the power line cuts in Blackwater.

I can't think of any power lines you would be able to target shoot on even if the power company or gas company allowed it. Most run through private property and management area. We planted food plots, built shooting houses, set up ladder stands on all of the power lines that ran through our private property and there wasn't a problem.

The properties that my work owns with power line easements, just require non permanent structures. I would assume the fencing/signage is to protect GP from allowing people on to multiple private lands without permission.
