I don't care, just want to watch good games as I am off nfl for the third year...see where the NCAA mentioned UFC(?) as National Champs?

It'd be nice if they moved some college games to Sunday, let the kneeling felons wallow in their own filth.

Yes they put them in the record book per one publication, the colley rankings, having them as champs. All the other rankings, especially the ones that count, have Bama as number 1. So go ahead and claim it UCF and Bama haters. Just remember though if Bama used the same criteria they would be claiming 21 Titles. Time to print some new T-shirts!!!!!

NCAA officially recognizes UCF's national championship claim in 2018 record book

The UCF Knights finished the 2017 season with a perfect 13-0 record, and because of that, they’ve spent the entire offseason claiming the national championship.

They beat Auburn in the Peach Bowl, and Auburn managed to defeat both Alabama and Georgia, who met in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

Now, it appears the Knights’ title claim is getting some official recognition. As you can see in the tweet below, the NCAA record book officially acknowledges that the Knights finished No. 1

Hell of season they should be proud of but their strength of schedule was a joke. No way no how that team could play an SEC or any power 5 schedule and stay undefeated.

Big difference between playing a dejected Auburn with nothing to play for in a "consolation" bowl. Just like Alabama's let down against Utah in 2008 after losing to Florida and a shot at the national title. If UCF played the Auburn both Alabama and Georgia faced in Jordon-Hare stadium they would have been blown off the field.

Everyone knows this except the computer program for that one obscure ranking matrix that ranked them #1 that absolutely no-one takes seriously!

The NCAA doesn't award a championship in top-tier college football. Never has. They do allow schools to claim whatever they wish. Most of them claim championships recognized by the major news services. Then there's bammer.

My Minnesota Gopher team is in the rebuilding stage with a 2nd year coach PJ Fleck, the one that took Western Michigan to an undefeated season a few years ago. They played their first game of the season last night, a 48-10 win over New Mexico State, I'll take it. We finished 5-7 last year, looking for 7-5 or better this year and bowl game and I'll consider that a success in his second year. I also root for FSU, not sure how their season will be this year, will find out Monday night against Virginia Tech!

I Rather watch “The godfather” for the 300th time.
Then enjoy it. I'm sure it'll be on since no network will play much of anything else during opening weekend of college football.

Or just view another thread if you don't like football...

"Vermont"? Welcome to the forum. College football would not be something that interested me if I was from Vermont. College hockey, yes.

I was thinking - purple is one of LSU's colors. I think you would like that college football team.
