Had a couple of guys bring their .22 rimfire rifles so we could test the CMP Eley ammo in them. I brought my bull barrel Winchester M52. One shooter brought his Ruger American Rimfire Target rifle. The other brought his tricked out Ruger 10/22 (aftermarket barrel and stock).

The CMP Eley ammo is a winner for the price of 7.1 cents per round. In some rifles it beat Wolf Match Target and in other rifles it comes very close to the Wolf. In all cases, it easily beat the regular bulk type .22 ammo for accuracy. It functioned the 10/22 just fine. It liked 3-4 fouling shots before settling down if the barrel had been shot with another brand of ammo.

Where did you order it from and what was your cost to your front door?
    Thanks in Advance

You may want to consider Competitive Edge Dynamics range bags and backpack systems. I've been running the XL Professional for about a year. Great features and super strong floor! I bought mine used/like new, its worth every penny of the full retail price!

I went in to Mike's and fell in love with a rifle... wow. It was a shame it was chambered in 7mm08 and not .308, otherwise I'd have brought it home...

Super light weapon with excellent trigger.
Great mountain gun. I would rather have the 7-08 chambering between the two. 6.5C would be interesting also. ---- SAWMAN

The 7-08 is a fine cartridge, no doubt. Just when you already have 8+ rifles in .308. You don't want to stock another caliber. At least I don't. Lol. I would be fine with 6.5cm as well.

"Variety is the spice of life".
Do like I do . . . go out and buy several sets of dies. Then . . . since you already have the dies . . . now you gotta get the gun.
Super logical thinking. (for me anyways) --- SAWMAN

Never thought I'd see one of these for sale that I could afford, had matching serial numbers, wasn't buggered up, wasn't sportorized, and had a nice bore, but Uber's got this in on consignment yesterday. i was there when they opened this morning, checked it out and got it. They had sold it 14 years ago and had been so tempted to keep it in their collection.

Swedish M94/14 carbine made in 1918. All matching. Bore looks new (no traces of copper fouling on the patches after letting the bore soak in copper solvent). The unit disc translates to Rifle number 545, 3rd Company, 1st Cavalry Regiment. The 1st Cavalry Regiment is also known as Livguard and is tasked with guarding the Swedish Royal Palace in Stockholm.

Here's a pic of that regiment members carrying the M94/14 carbines on their horses. Here's pic from the front showing the M94/14 bayonet also being carried. I suspect they are dressed for ceremony or parade, as other pics of the guard show modern rifles being carried. Note that the carbines are being carried cocked with the safeties in the ON position. I read that they are carried loaded.

Guess I need to start gathering the tools and components to reload the 6.5x55.

Oh, does anyone have a Swedish M94 bayonet for sale?

FWIW M94/14 bayonets came in two sizes 13 std and 15 for Navy. Very nice Mauser based rifle and exceptionally well maintained!

More pics of the Royal Palace guard regiment with M94/14 carbines. I started translating the words with the pics, but they didn't explain the pics very well (example: ready for orders or a son doing his duty). As best I can determine, the 1st Cavalry Regiment is still using the carbines and the guards are required to shoot them. Speculation on my part (and based in part on comments from Swedish citizens that were part of or know the regiment) is that the guards carrying the M94/14 carbines are in ceremonial uniforms and that the carbines are easier to carry on a horse than the current Swedish assault rifle. Similar to U.S. military guard and ceremonial units not using M16's, but using M1's and M14's, as their shape makes them better suited to such public activities.

Google translations are fun but they do fall apart pretty easy.... Heck I bet they carry them because this is a Ceremonial display, and wood and steel just looks better then plastic :)..

By the way those helmets are pretty boss.. And I fear would cost more then the rifle..

Finished up my WASR project, replaced the neutered bayonet gas block with a good surplus one, removed and sold the slidefire, refinished the factory laminate wood and applied some black Cerakote with just a hint of blue for some shine. I'm still looking for a nice grip for it.

Also applied some Cerakote to a Star Wars theme Bobba Fett style Ultralight AR15 last week:

Met my "dealer" out at ERGC today and got a conjugal visit with my Sandman S. Very pleased with the performance of the suppressor. Easy on/off install and the rifle wasn't too front heavy.
    For posterity...it's a 16" 556 midlength shooting Wolf Gold 223

Have all the parts on order to put together a 300blk upper, while ordering stuff I saw that PSA had their phosphate 10.5in 5.56 complete upper for $200, BCG and CH included. Figure I might as well get that too haha.
Got it Thursday and threw a DD rear sight on it just to keep it as simple as can be. Shoots pretty good and perfect size for my kids when they want to go shooting. Might be one of my favorite plinkers now.
