Nice fix. I hope it maintains tension after a couple mags are run through it. I really like the nostalgic look of those.

Real nice little tip on the MP 40... PLease fire it, see of it holds..

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETN9eNOA6vw

So from what I saw, the new working folding stock will be coming out this year, Do you intend to install one on yours??

The MP40 is my Son's so installing a stock is all up to him. If it takes an NFA stamp he won't be doing that but if it's a brace maybe!!!

I finally broke down and ordered a Houge extended cylinder release for my S&W model 10. It works better than expected and I don't have to adjust to perform a reload.

Is that rail built into the gun or an add on? If an add on who makes it?

Continued the process of re-sighting everything after cataract surgery. Today was the HK P7 PSP. It went super easy. It used to hit 2" high at 12yd with the windage right on before cataract surgery. It now hits 1" high at 12yd, and the windage is still right on. I like that.

Today I fired the Ruger American 6.5 Grendel and Precision Center LRR 6.5 Creedmoor at 300yd. Previous target firing with both was just 100yd with calculations done to determine in theory the 300yd impact. The Grendel needed 1 click elevation down and 1 click windage to get it where it is supposed to hit at 300yd when sighted 1 1/2" high at 100yd. 5 shot 300yd group with Grendel was 3"...I am happy with that. No surprise that a little tweaking of sight settings was needed for the longer distance...it's happened before to me.

The Creedmoor was way off at 300yd. 6" higher and 6" to the side. Decided I might as well go ahead and sight it in at 300yd, so I did. Fired a 3 shot group at 300 of 1 1/2" and a 5 shot group of 2" during the sight in process.

I ordered an OWB holster for a glock 19, and several mag carriers from Gcode, like, 6 weeks ago.. almost $300 worth of stuff... I got to thinking today about how it still has not arrived nor have I had any emails from them. Apparently up to a 2 month wait is not uncommon with them

Nope, not uncommon. A few years ago I waited 9 weeks for a M&P Gcode...one and only holster from them. Now their "in-stock, ready to ship" stuff is cool. Ordered a few mags carriers and had them within a week. Quality is good but that wait time is a little much, especially with other reputable companies beating that.

Yeah I did not see the wait times until after I had ordered so I kind of screwed myself on that.

Ordered a case of 9mm... should be here tomorrow.

Also ordered a new Hank's belt, it came in Monday. It is damn nice. 100 year warranty.

My competition starter kit also came in from Gcode Monday without notice. After 8 weeks. Holster and mag carriers are fantastic. The belt is too small. Ordered a medium, which is 32-36 size, I wear a 33-34 and this belt is far too small. More like a 30-32.... annoying. Guess I can lose 15lbs which I need to anyways, or wait another 2 months for another belt.

    Yeehaw.

Nice setup JohnB. What competition genre you planning on shooting?
On a side note, look at Volund Gearworks as a secondary. I've had good luck with my comp setup and also my EDC belt.

Getting real close to finishing my pistol build. Need a complete upper to finish it off. And then off to PTAC for cerakote. Been piecing this thing together one purchase/month for the past 4 months now.

Well I screwed up and took the hand out of my trigger on a J frame S&W when I was cleaning it. The hand spring came out and I have spent the last two evenings trying to get it back together. I thought I had it and started putting it back together when the rebound slide tool slipped and I ran it through the side of my thumb and knocked the hand off the trigger. Now I have to wait till my thumb heals. It hurts like he'll but scotch helps.
