      Shooting in backyard in Florida.

One point to remember is the size of your property will not ensure your rounds stay on your property. I live on a couple hundred acres with neighboring properties from 40-1100 acres. Pretty heavily forested but I've had rounds go whistling over my head and even impact all around me from local...

      Another dead spypoint camera

My Browning is 12 years old and still working. All the others die in 2-3 years. Covert, Moultrie, Stealth and Vikeri. One of the Vikeris actually caught fire and melted out in the field using Lithium AA batteries. The Vikeris do take great pics. Good enough to get a local meth head arrested for...

      Clay/Dirt

Not sure about Escambia county but Walton county will give you a free dump truck load of dirt if you ask for it. Mine had some roots in it but a lot less than I expected. The road maintenance guys will know who to ask.

Ignore the data on the camera. This camera has a dead display and I can't change anything.

Ruger Marlin 1895 in 45-70 Govt. Blued. 6-rd tube. Threaded muzzle. $1300 @ PSA

I bought mine when I got a good up close look at Alaskan bears. I had planned to just carry a 460 Roland chambered 1911 while camping up there but quickly moved to Plan B. You can get 45-70 rounds pushing "elephant gun" status (4000+ lbs muzzle energy) that are safe in the Marlins.

      Barndominium Builders recommendations?

Depends on the county you're building in. In Walton county you really don't need any permits as an owner if you live north of the bay. I pulled a $500 permit for my barn and all my neighbors told me I wasted my money as an owner. None of them ever pull permits as owners up here. They just build...

      Powerful Handgun

Animal attack statistics should always be read as "reported attacks" versus actual attacks. Alaska is an amazing place. I've been a few places overseas in my time but Alaska is hands down the most interesting place I've been. According to friends of mine who spent years in Alaska, the locals...

No, the floor's bamboo so we figured it was already insulated enough for our purposes.

      Shipping Container Questions...

We had ours delivered by a 3500 pickup in Nov 2020 for $2700. A 40' high cube (9' tall). Most likely yours will be dark colored and will be an oven if you have to park it in the sun. We painted ours white and it helped. With the heat and humidity in Florida we quickly learned about "container...

      Barndominium Builders recommendations?

Almost finished building our barndominium in Walton county. We went with a prefab 52x72x16 metal building rated for 170 mph by the State of Florida from Tubular Building Systems out of Lake City FL. TBS delivers and assembles the barn. We are doing the 1100+ sq ft residential part mostly on our...
