I'm still here, just been busy. My scope is a 2x6x28 Nc Star compact. It's mounted on my AR15 via a removable carry handle and mount. With the rifle in a vice, using a muzzle type laser, and the scope "zeroed" on the dot at 25 yds on 2x, the POA moves down and to the left when I increase mag to...
Now before I get started please don't flame me for owning an inexpensive optic. I know I should have invested more money.
A while back I bought a scope for my AR. I forget the name but it is a 2x6x28 compact (tactical) scope. When I was bore sighting it using a muzzle type laser, I noticed that...
I live over here in central Mobile county, and I've got a problem with bears. A couple of weeks before deer season, I put up an automatic deer feeder and a camera just to see what I could see. After about a week, I saw one small doe and she wasn't interested in the corn. A few days later, I got...
Darn, always a day late and a dollar short. I have been mulling over offering you my Century CETME with 6 20rd mags wood (mounted) and plastic furniture. Guess I'll keep it.
Dear Santa,
Just thought I'd write and remind you of what a good boy I've been this year and let you know what I would like under my Christmas tree this year.
1. 4 crates of 9mm ammo
2. 4 crates of .45acp ammo
3. 4 crates of .308 ammo
4. 4 crates of .223 ammo
5. 4 crates of S&B 8mm Mauser...
Well technically they wouldn't be banning guns in general. Only guns and ammunition in military calibers. Just like good old mother England, Australia, Germany, etc.
The first pistol that I ever bought was a Davis, Bryco, Cobra, whatever you want to call it,.25acp. My 1st wife divorced me while I was stationed in Korea and it went with her. I hope the little gun lived up to its reputation.
This just came to me a little while ago and I thought I'd share my thought with you. Knowing how fond the Dems in Congress are of European laws concerning gun control, what do you think would happen to the shooting sports world, including hunting, if they some how managed to adopt the...
A friend of mine recently acquired a 12ga Universal Auto Wing, and asked me to check it out for him. Aside from a few scratches and the forearm looking dried out, it looked fine, until I got inside. There I found that the ejector was broken. So far, I have had no luck finding the part on line...
OK, I now officially have a 2-6x28 tactical paperweight on my desk. I spent about an hour or so playing with the scope, and determined without a doubt that it is faulty. I put the rifle in vice, lined up everything just right at a 25yd target, boresighted at 2x, rolled up the magnification, and...
Got a stainless 4" Security Six with Pachmayer grip from the factory. Not for sale tho', belongs to the wife. It was her duty pistol when she worked for Loomis Fargo Armored Service.
I'm not asking to get flamed because I didn't buy scope X, scope Y, or scope Z. I'm just trying to figure out a solution (if there is one) for a parallax problem with a 2-6x28 compact tactical (name not withstanding) scope.
I laser bore sighted the scope at 100yds on 3x. As I rolled the...
IMHO trading any Ruger for any Glock is a HUGE mistake. Especially a Security Six. The SS is practically indestructible and will only increase in value as the market gets further saturated with plastic guns.
Haven't made a concrete decision yet, but I am leaning towards the NcStar. 1. 3x9x40 instead of x32 2. Lighted reticle for near dark shooting, but not sure if I really like the blue lens coating. The Simmons is practically clear. Got some more things to check before final decision.
I already know how this is going to go, so I'm going to ask that all responses be related to ONLY the scopes mentioned in this post. I understand that there are better scopes out there, but not everyone can lay down $300 to $1000+ for an optic.
I have become owner of 2 scopes and was trying...
